Chris Martin’s Crowd Run

Check out 3:00 minutes into this clip.

I love Coldplay and Chris Martin. I think the greatest live artists realize a concert is not just about playing through a set list, it’s about making a connection. It’s alive, emotional, spontaneous, real. Each gathering is an experience.

I’ve noticed when when we plan our gatherings with space for the unplanned, or we push past our planned presentations to passionate responses, the room comes alive.

  1. I totally agree with your thoughts on leaving space for the unplanned – And I believe thorough and spirit led planning are so crucial to being able to best allow for unplanned moments. I often think that it’s when we are most unprepared, that we are not able to accommodate for the unplanned moments.

  2. Good comment Amy. I would encourage everyone to check out Coldplay’s 60 Minutes interview. They even had a list on the wall about not saying too much in an interview to let some mystery remain. These guys are extremely intentional, even about allowing for the spontaneous. They can do this because they have the bigger picture in mind.
