Giving Others a Platform to Talk About You
![]()
What’s the best way to let others know about our organizations, our churches, or our movements?
Opinions vary, of course, but a well-known ad agency thinks the key is letting you talk about them, and making sure others hear what you’re saying.
Recently Crispin Porter + Bogusky, the agency behind some of the most talked-about marketing campaigns in the past few years (Burger King, Guitar Hero, Hulu), completely overhauled its web site. The new site features tweets, news articles, and blog posts about them. Not stuff they wrote. Stuff others are writing about them.
Its so tempting to be the only ones doing the talking. And there’s certainly a value in telling our story to others. But its only our version of the story. What’s the story being told by those we serve, lead, or are trying to reach?
What would happen if we made it easier and easier for those folks to have a voice in helping others know what our churches, ministries and organizations are all about?
