NYWC Cincinnati (Day One)

IMG_0324

We’re off to a really fast start in our workshop at the National Youth Workers Convention. We were overwhelmingly impressed and energized by the depth of conversation taking place amongst this group of youth workers.

During our first three hours together, their observations about the world of students, and the things they’re already trying to help students get to know God better was really inspiring.

As we so often do in these settings, we let the group know from the start that they would be the ones shaping our time together, and that there was more to learn from one another than there was simply from us. If their participating yesterday was any indication, we’ve got a lot to learn!

Looking forward to another great day today…

I was at Marks re-imagining gathering seminar just prior to my first big session(missed the the first one making the trip from Philly) and I have to say after a great conversation about the shifts we need to be making that I was a little depressed about all the hype… I actually found it hard to worship, between the blinding lights and the large boom type camera that was swirling around… It was a great show!!! but worship I did not… Glad that the Shane’s were plugged into the schedule that night… Thanks for your seminar Mark, love your vision…
